Your Treatment
When you arrive, you can park in the garage onsite, or come in through the park or road entrance, whatever’s easiest for you. I’ll send the full address once your booking’s confirmed and the deposit’s sorted.
I’m based on the second floor of my home. There’s no lift in the building, unfortunately, but if you’ve got any accessibility needs or questions, just let me know beforehand and we’ll chat it through.
Once you’re in, we’ll have a quick chat about what you’re hoping to get from your session and anything you’re curious about. There’s time to nip to the bathroom, grab a drink, and settle in before we begin.
I have eye masks and headphones available if you’d like to block out light or outside noise, totally up to you.
When you’re comfy on the treatment bed (you stay fully clothed, and I’ve got blankets and air con if you need them), I’ll begin. I usually work hands‑off for most of the session, with gentle hands‑on placements at the start and finish.
During the treatment, you might notice warmth, coolness, emotional shifts, visual sensations, or simply a deep sense of relaxation everyone’s experience is a bit different.
When we’re done, you’ll have a moment to come back to yourself, have a sip of water, and take your time. Then we can chat about anything that came up and answer any questions you’ve got.
For Distance treatments I'm happy to talk via video call and keep the line open throughout, providing the full service just remotely.
Pre Treatment
A few simple things to help you arrive feeling settled, comfortable, and ready for your session.
1. Wear comfy clothing
Nothing fancy needed — just something you can relax in. You’ll stay fully clothed for the session.
2. Have a light meal beforehand
Try not to arrive overly full or starving. A light snack keeps your body steady without feeling heavy.
3. Drink some water
Hydration helps your system settle and supports the work we’ll be doing.
4. Arrive a few minutes early
Gives you time to breathe, unwind, and not feel rushed walking in.
5. Avoid alcohol or heavy substances beforehand
You’ll get the most out of your session with a clear, calm system.
6. Switch your phone to silent
Helps you drop into the experience without interruptions.
7. Bring any questions or intentions
If there’s something specific you’d like support with, feel free to think about it beforehand — or we can chat when you arrive.
8. Let me know about any accessibility needs
I’m on the second floor with no lift, so if you need anything or want to talk through access, just give me a shout before your appointment.
9. Give yourself a bit of space afterwards
If you can, avoid booking something intense straight after. A little breathing room helps the session integrate.
Post Treatment
Here are some post session tips.
1. Drink water slowly
Reiki can move a lot through the system. Hydration supports grounding and gentle release.
2. Rest if your body asks for it
You may feel lighter, sleepier, or more spacious than usual. Honour whatever rhythm arrives.
3. Keep the rest of your day soft
Avoid rushing, overstimulation, or heavy emotional conversations if you can. Let your system settle.
4. Notice your senses
Colours, sounds, tastes, and textures may feel more vivid. This is your awareness opening — let it be a quiet companion.
5. Journal or voice‑note anything that arises
Insights, emotions, or memories may surface. Capture them without judgement.
6. Eat something grounding, Warm, simple foods help anchor the body if you feel floaty or expanded.
7. Take a gentle walk or sit in nature
Movement helps integrate energy. Nature helps regulate the nervous system.
8. Avoid alcohol or heavy substances for the rest of the day
Give your body space to process without interference.
9. Be kind to yourself
Emotional waves may rise or fall over the next 24–48 hours. This is normal. Let everything move at its own pace.
